Das Nominal wird meist als "1 1/2 Scripula" oder "9 Siliquae" bezeichnet. Korrekt ist die - auch antik belegte - Bezeichnung Tremissis, die 1/16 der Uncia (und somit 1,5 Scripula bzw. 9 Siliquae) entspricht.
