Der Astragal auf dem Revers bezieht sich auf die im Orakel von Klaros (das auf dem Territorium von Kolophon lag) angewandte Praxis der Astragalomantie. Aus das Orakel bezieht sich auch der Kopf des Orakelgottes Apollon auf dem Avers.

The astragal on the reverse refers to astragalomancy, a practice used at the Oracle of Claros, which was located in the territory of Kolophon. The head of Apollo, the oracle god, on the obverse also refers to the oracle.
