Groch gibt als mögliche Zugehörigkeit das Freikorps Harries an. Beim dem ähnlich aussehenden Steckkreuz aus der 345. Künker-Auktion, Los 2869, gab er als mögliche Zugehörigkeit die Freikorps Hünicken oder Hindenburg an.
