Der Münztyp ist auch bei Sueton erwähnt (Nero 25, 2): "(...) ebenso ließ er Statuen aufstellen, die ihn als einen Sänger, der zur Kithara singt, darstellten. Mit diesem Bild ließ er auch Münzen prägen.".
