Herrliche Tönung, vorzüglich
Anlässlich des jährlich wiederkehrenden Festes der Juno Sospita in Lanuvium musste eine Jungfrau die im Keller des Tempels lebende Schlange füttern. Wenn das Mädchen keusch war, blieb es dabei unversehrt, ansonsten wurde es von der Schlange getötet.
