Der Gott auf dem Avers wird von Ann-Marie Knoblauch als Hephaistos interpretiert, dargestellt wäre dann auf dem Avers die Rückkehr des Hephaistos auf den Olymp. Diese interessante Interpretation ist freilich nicht zwingend, wir bezeichnen den Gott daher der Tradition folgend als Dionysos.
