Alram, S. 86, Nr. 254 hält Mithradates für einen Münzbeamten. Wolfgang Leschhorn hält auch eine Nennung des pontischen Königs Mithradates VI. für möglich; dann wäre das Stück in die Jahre 89/85 v. Chr. zu datieren.
