Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve war der uneheliche Sohn des Königs Frederik III. aus dessen Beziehung mit Margarethe Pape und somit Halbbruder von König Christian V. Er war von 1664-1699 dänischer Statthalter in Norwegen.
